Adventure: American Sign Museum
#typegeek Treasure in Cincinnati
On every road trip that I take, I look for the unusual or out-of-the-ordinary spots to stop and explore. The American Sign Museum in Cincinnati is one such found treasure. With over 200 signs and historical American vernacular objects on display, this museum is a must for any #typegeek like myself. Dedicated to the art and history of signs and sign making, the museum is the largest public museum dedicated to signs in the United States.
The American Sign Museum is 20,000 square feet of more than a century of American signage. From early, pre-electric signs adorned in gold leaf, to the earliest electric signs, to beautiful art-deco neon, to the modern plastic-faced sign, the museum covers it all.
