I design experiences, and I'm a type geek.

My fascination with type began in the 3rd grade when my best friend wrote my first name, but with a lowercase 'e'. This felt rebellious. The first letter of a person's name not capitalized? The thought of mixing and playing with letters fascinated me. I'd later learn that Amy wasn't trying to make a statement, she just hadn't learned how to draw an uppercase 'E' in cursive yet.

Much of my youth in Michigan was spent in libraries, poring over books of all subjects and sizes. I loved how letters were the essential building blocks of all these printed collections of concepts and stories. The experience eventually led me to Eastern Michigan University for a bachelors degree in Graphic Design and Art History. I've been designing experiences in print, environmental and digital media ever since.

I'm passionate about design --- user experience design, art direction, and leading creative teams get me out of bed in the morning. Savvy at translating business objectives into solutions that produce and delight, I’ve been recognized for the ability to deliver results, build relationships, and manage and develop talent. I'd love to partner with you on your projects.

In my free time, you'll either find me with my 4 dogs, dabbling in letterpress and book arts, traveling, or roaming the streets in search of the endless beauty of type in the environment. Especially those lowercases e's.
